Responsibilities
- Collaborate with supply chain team members, as well as other ALLETE employees.
- Assist with administrative tasks.
- Process low-dollar purchase requisitions.
- Assist with expediting deliveries of parts/materials.
- Audit purchase orders for compliance with contracts.
- Assure that vendors and contractors comply with purchase orders and contracts.
- Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Transportation & Logistics, Business Administration, or Accounting with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.
Skills
- Demonstrate computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, M365).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations.
Schedule
- This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
- Expected duration: Fall 2026 to Fall 2027.
- Part-time (16-20 hours per week) during the school year and full-time during the summer, with the possibility of extending until graduation.
- ALLETE will comply with college requirements. Hours and duration may be subject to change based on company needs.
Pay
The expected hourly compensation for this position is $20.50.
