Internship - Supply Chain

Employment Type: Non-Union, Non-Exempt (Hourly, eligible for overtime) – In Person reporting to Duluth, MN

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supply chain team members, as well as other ALLETE employees.
• Assist with administrative tasks.
• Process low-dollar purchase requisitions.
• Assist with expediting deliveries of parts/materials.
• Audit purchase orders for compliance with contracts.
• Assure that vendors and contractors comply with purchase orders and contracts.
• Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Transportation & Logistics, Business Administration, or Accounting with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
• This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.

Skills

• Demonstrate computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, M365).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations.

Schedule

• This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
• Expected duration: Fall 2026 to Fall 2027.
• Part-time (16-20 hours per week) during the school year and full-time during the summer, with the possibility of extending until graduation.
• ALLETE will comply with college requirements. Hours and duration may be subject to change based on company needs.

Pay

The expected hourly compensation for this position is $20.50.
