Job Description
The Supply Chain Intern will support daily operations within the manufacturing plant’s supply chain function. This role involves hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, production planning, and inventory management while contributing to projects that improve efficiency and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and analyzing material variances.
- Support the Supply Chain team through supplier communication, order tracking, and maintaining purchase documentation.
- Aid in coordinating the movement of materials between departments to ensure timely production flow.
- Compile and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, discrepancies, or improvement opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with production, logistics, and quality.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards to support operational decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving accuracy, or enhancing workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analytics tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work onsite in Auburn, IN. No relocation is available.
