Supply Chain Intern

About the role

The Supply Chain Intern position at Klein Tools offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in a dynamic corporate environment. Reporting directly to senior personnel, the intern will support the supply chain team with various projects and activities.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and database maintenance
• Supporting day-to-day supply chain operations
• Interacting with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Maintaining inventory data, product information, and supplier information in ERP and vendor management systems
• Communicating and coordinating with suppliers
• Assisting with project management for supply chain projects
• Researching and analyzing information associated with projects
• Preparing and reviewing daily, weekly, or monthly reports
• Providing status updates on open issues
• Escalating complex issues to team managers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Good communications skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
