Supply Chain Finance Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Finance to serve as a key finance partner supporting our AMPAC logistics operations. This role will be located in Boston, MA, with occasional remote work from Pawtucket, RI or Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
Financial Forecasting & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting cycles for logistics and warehouse operations.
Analyze cost drivers and see opportunities to reduce expenses and improve operational efficiencies.
Develop insightful financial models and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations based on business trends.
Maintain and improve reporting tools, assumptions, and financial methodologies.
Business Partnership
Partner with Fulfillment, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure financial targets are achieved.
Provide financial support for operational initiatives and efficiency improvement projects.
Evaluate the financial impact of non-standard activities, including expedited freight and special projects.
Support cost management initiatives through detailed analysis and argument development.
Month-End Close & Performance Management
Lead month-end financial reporting and performance package preparation.
Review accruals and challenge assumptions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Deliver detailed variance analysis and insights into operational and financial performance.
Present findings and recommendations to Finance and Operations leadership.
Strategic Initiatives
Participate in cross-functional projects passionate about improvement in execution and supply chain optimization.
Support risk management and operational planning initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement efforts across reporting, forecasting, and financial processes.
Requirements
7–9 years of advancing experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or similar finance roles.
2–3 years of experience supporting Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Operations functions.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.
Proven experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise; experience with Power BI and Power Query preferred.
