About the role

Expedite open orders by working closely with suppliers and buyers to ensure on-time delivery of all purchase orders. This function is essential to the success of the organization as it is a critical step in the delivery of completed products to the customer. Other tasks include providing administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery dates are current and obtainable in the system.
  • Closely communicate with suppliers to maintain industry best On-Time delivery standards.
  • Coordinate part requirements and product needs between several internal groups including Program Management, Program Finance, Engineering and Material Managers/Planning.
  • Resolve invoice issues ensuring on time payments to supplier.
  • Maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation.
  • Maintain information on computer systems.
  • Assist in expediting orders.
  • Assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates.
  • Prepare standard requests for quotations and purchase requisitions.
  • Handle assignments involving pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions, invoice discrepancies, change order logs, etc.
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge in FAR/DFAR procurements
  • Previous experience using MRP systems

Pay

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is:

  • $25.00 MIN - $46.63 MAX in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas.
  • $21.63 MIN - $40.38 MAX in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont, and Virginia.

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Schedule

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days (totaling 80 hours worked) and have every other Friday off - 1st Shift.
