Supply Chain Coordinator

Supply Chain Coordinator position in Newport News, VA. This is a high-pace environment requiring independent problem-solving to support purchase order placement, with daily challenges involving engineering, planning, and program coordination.

Responsibilities

• Purchase a high volume and variety of materials, supplies, and services.
• Evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate price, delivery, quality, and service.
• Follow up on all awards until order completion.
• Negotiate and settle supplier disputes regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.
• Conduct supplier site visits and assess production capability, performance, and delivery.
• Manage project-related tasks including purchase order placement and invoicing.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship.
• BS Degree (or equivalent: 4 years of related experience, graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School, or other qualifying experience).
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in SAP is a plus.

Pay

$35.00 - $45.00/hour.
