Overview

Provide on-site support at a facility in Hornell, NY for our client to resolve issues causing non-compliance with delivery schedules. Collaborate with Program Manager and Supply Chain Management to identify constraints, improve execution, and drive recovery plans supporting delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary on-site representative for monitoring supplier performance related to HVAC equipment and truck overhaul programs.
  • Review production schedules, work-in-process, material availability, and shipment commitments to ensure alignment with contractual delivery requirements.
  • Verify adequate staffing is assigned to support the project’s delivery schedule.
  • Identify and communicate risks impacting production output, including labor shortages, component availability, repair turn-around times, quality issues, and capacity constraints to Program Management.
  • Maintain oversight of overhaul workflow from disassembly to final acceptance.
  • Work with the supplier to develop and execute recovery plans for late orders and backlog reduction.
  • Coordinate with supplier personnel to address obstacles affecting schedule performance.
  • Ensure critical components and long-lead items are available to support production schedules.
  • Track and report key performance indicators such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Schedule Adherence, Production Throughput, WIP Levels, Material Shortages, and Open Quality Issues.
  • Escalate significant schedule, quality, or capacity risks to client management and supplier.
  • Prepare and submit weekly status reports detailing recovery progress, remaining risks, and projected shipment dates.
  • Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to enhance long-term supplier performance.
  • Inspect HVAC products and trucks before shipment, document findings, and take photos.
  • Review hidden damage on trucks and report accordingly.
  • Participate in weekly Teams calls with client and supplier, covering both HVAC and truck operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain or logistics support, particularly within manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret production schedules and supply chain data.
  • Attention to detail in inspection and documentation processes.
