Supply Chain Assistant - Level 1
About the role
As a member of the Supply Chain team, this position will be responsible for providing superior service throughout the entire order and fulfillment process. The Supply Chain Assistant must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, effectively communicating with members of various departments such as operations, supply chain, management, and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Create and print work orders
- Audit work orders prior to release to the production floor
- Order entry of all sales and change orders into SAP in a timely fashion
- Ensure all work orders are scanned onto the network
- Accurately prepare all required shipping documentation for outgoing shipments
- Assist the supply chain manager in planning and organizing the distribution of goods
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Highly organized and efficient in time management
- Proficient knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft 365
- Ability to perform well without close supervision
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records
- Clearly and effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to maintain a proactive approach to anticipated issues and conflicts
- Ability to work under stressful situations and time pressures
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a production shipping role required; supply chain experience preferred
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment
The Supply Chain Assistant reports to the Howmet, Washington site located at 1701 W. Main St., Washington, MO 63090. The role is office-based with the ability to walk the production floor as needed. The Supply Chain Assistant works 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed.
