Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the full supply chain process to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.
  • Management and prioritization of daily procurement activities across multiple commodities.
  • Acting as an electronics parts buyer, sourcing and purchasing components to support production requirements.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Management of domestic and international shipping operations while ensuring compliance with regulations, tariff codes, and delivery requirements.
  • Cordination of the movement of parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finished goods to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management: Creation, placement, and management of purchase orders aligned with MRP and production demand; sourcing and onboarding of new vendors; negotiation of pricing and contracts; monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with quality and contract requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with internal departments, including engineering, finance, accounting, operations, warehouse, and customer service, to align supply chain activities with business objectives; partnering with internal teams as a trusted advisor on supply chain and procurement matters; coordinating with operations and production teams to ensure schedules align with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
  • Inventory and Delivery Management: Ensuring the timely delivery of parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finished goods to meet production schedules and demand forecasts; analyzing inventory and supporting the reduction of excess and obsolete materials.
  • Budget and Performance Management: Monitoring and controlling supply chain costs to ensure operations remain within budget; leading resolution efforts for pricing, delivery, and quality issues, escalating when necessary; conducting supplier business reviews and driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying supply chain bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to increase throughput.
  • Systems Management: Maintaining data integrity within ERP systems and using data to report on metrics such as on-time delivery and purchase price variance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and practices.
  • Experience working with third-party contract manufacturers and component suppliers.
  • Ability to build models for demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
