Supply Chain Analyst/Strategist
Role Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst/Strategist is responsible for the execution, reporting, and operationalization of established supply chain metrics, processes, and improvement initiatives at the site level. This role ensures accurate, timely reporting of key performance indicators such as Inventory, PPV, and supplier performance, leads the execution and cadence of the internal S&OP process, manages supply chain improvement projects, oversees supplier compliance administration, and ensures system and master data accuracy. The Strategist translates existing strategies and metrics into disciplined execution and actionable insight.

Onsite daily in Machesney Park, IL
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain site-level supply chain KPI reporting (inventory, PPV, supplier OTD, lead times, service levels, shortages) in alignment with established definitions and standards.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting; analyze results to identify trends, risks, and execution gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards, scorecards, and materials for site and leadership reviews; track actions and escalate risks as needed.
- Cook up and execute the site’s internal S&OP process in accordance with the defined framework and cadence.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate S&OP inputs across Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Procurement, and Finance; highlight demand, supply, capacity, and inventory misalignment.
- Lead and support approved supply chain improvement initiatives (e.g., inventory optimization, PPV reduction, lead-time and supplier performance improvements) using structured project management methods. Track project progress, benefits, and risks; ensure sustained improvements are embedded into standard work.
- Administer supplier compliance requirements, including onboarding documentation, certifications, agreements, and ongoing record maintenance.
- Prepare supplier performance data and scorecards to support reviews and corrective action discussions.
- Maintain accurate supply chain master data in ERP and planning systems; identify and resolve data issues impacting MRP, inventory, service, or cost in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Critical Competencies For Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 plus years of experience in supply chain operations, planning, procurement, or analytics (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Advanced Excel capability; experience supporting Power BI or similar tools preferred.
- Experience working within ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Effective communicator across cross-functional and operational teams.
- Able to present data to leadership.
- Execution-focused mindset with strong follow-through.
- Focus on data integrity and accuracy.
- Problem solver, proactive, self starter.
Pay Range
$85k - $95k Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
