Responsibilities
- Manage material planning and purchasing activities to help maintain consistent supply for manufacturing operations.
- Review inventory levels, open demand, and scheduling priorities to address shortages and prevent production delays.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics using Excel, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
- Cover supplier sourcing, oversee purchase order activity, and follow up on urgent material needs to support delivery commitments.
- Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams to align supply chain execution with program requirements.
- Support adherence to applicable government and industry procurement standards within aerospace and defense programs.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify risks that could affect cost, quality, or on-time delivery.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts that strengthen planning accuracy, material availability, and overall supply chain performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, planning, or purchasing roles.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or comparable systems.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities; experience with Power BI is an advantage.
- Knowledge of government procurement and compliance requirements commonly used in aerospace and defense is highly valued.
- Certification in supply chain or purchasing is a plus.
