About the role

Ford Racing is a small team of dedicated engineers who turn mainstream Ford vehicles into extraordinary performance machines. We are looking for an engineer with prior manufacturing experience and a strong quality background to serve as the Raptor Program / Launch STA leader. Ideal candidates will have experience with Program, Core, and Site STA functions, along with strong technical and relationship-building skills. Assessing and mitigating supply and quality risks with supplier partners will be critical for success, requiring significant collaboration with the Ford Racing engineering and program management teams.

This role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for teamwork, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Be the STA Program and Launch Leader for the Raptor Programs.
  • Assist the Ford Racing program management team with APQP / PPAP status on Raptor programs.
  • Use standard Ford Motor Company STA tools to vet and develop both new suppliers and technologies for potential addition to SVTNA.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Ford Racing Engineering during the development and validation phase to ensure Design Failure Mode execution for each engineering gateway.
  • Utilize standard STA tools to deliver robust supplier performance across a wide range of commodities and their manufacturing processes:
    • Body Exterior Systems
    • Chassis Systems
    • Powertrain Systems
  • Advocate for suppliers, uphold Ford behaviors, and further partnerships for the long term.
  • Handle the development of Ford Racing suppliers based in Ontario, Canada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-related field.
  • 7+ years of plant floor manufacturing experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
  • 7+ years of STA experience in Program / Launch or Site.
  • Extensive knowledge of APQP / PPAP deliverables and understanding of failure mode avoidance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel ~50%.

Pay

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300–$124,500. This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600–$144,900. This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100–$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on the candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.

Schedule

This position is hybrid with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week.
