Supplier Quality Technician
About the role
As a Supplier Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming materials and components. Your efforts will help prevent issues before they escalate and maintain accountability within our supplier base to meet the high standards required by our products.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming materials and components.
- Identify, segregate, and disposition nonconforming materials received from suppliers.
- Monitor and update inspection plans in the ERP system based on engineering changes or supplier performance.
- Retain and archive supplier material certificates, certificates of conformance, and inspection data in accordance with procedures.
- Gather, review, and retain supplier PPAP deliverables.
- Absorb and communicate directly with suppliers on nonconformance investigations and returns.
- Collect supplier performance data for ongoing monitoring.
- Review part specifications to define, create, and set up inspection plans.
Essential Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Experience with measurement tools, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- Intermediate-level GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with PPAP processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hands-on expertise in inspection, GD&T, and supplier quality systems.
- Experience with inspection management systems, ERP systems, and materials handling.
Work Environment
The role involves continuous sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, computer use, and comprehension. There is frequent problem solving, reasoning, complex information processing, and fine motor skills for manipulating tools or equipment. Expect to walk and stand for inspections with occasional decision making and intermittent lifting up to 30 lbs.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
