Supplier Quality Sr. Manager (remote)

Overview

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and related processes for external suppliers. The role involves managing supplier assessments, conducting inspections, and supporting validation and approval processes. This is a remote position requiring U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple teams to execute Supplier Quality & Development key initiatives
• Engages the leadership team of key suppliers to initiate appropriate major improvement programs
• Guides the development and implementation of new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems
• Owes the execution of long-term strategy and operational direction for an entire region, country, product or business of considerable size and scope
• Owns the establishment and execution of short- to medium-term operational plans for the organization
• Provides expertise on the analysis of quality data and development of part/supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions
• Owns maintenance of processes, standards, and plans for the implementation of minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain improvements in quality performance
• Drives the support of organization projects and processes to ensure the achievement of day-to-day and longer-term quality targets
• Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and makes recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• 5+ years experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations
• 3+ years prior leadership experience leading direct reports
• 5+ years experience with project or contract management
• Experience leading remote employees
• Aerospace experience
• AS9100 auditing experience
• Strategic business planning
