About the Role

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to support operations in Hazelwood, MO. This role involves managing suppliers, reviewing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), completing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and conducting First Article Inspections (FAI), including interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Level 3:
    • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes, and products.
    • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
    • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
    • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
    • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives.
    • Resolves routine issues and concerns.
    • Performs certification reviews, non-conformance reviews, and supplier quality reporting.
    • Works under minimal direction.
  • Level 4:
    • Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier's systems, processes, and products.
    • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
    • Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers.
    • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.
    • Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives.
    • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
    • Performs certification reviews, non-conformance reviews, and supplier quality reporting.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • More than 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • More than 1 year of experience with First Article Inspections (FAI) (e.g., AS9102).

Qualifications

  • More than 3 years of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes.
  • More than 3 years of experience working with and supporting a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • More than 3 years of experience leading and executing Advance Product Quality Planning Activities (APQP) at suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Boeing First Article and Product Inspection Process.
  • Experience managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external), customers, or suppliers.
  • Experience working with Quality Standards in the Aviation Industry such as AS9100, AS9145, AS6500.

Travel

This position may require travel up to 20% of the time.

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Experienced, Level 3: $99,450 - $134,550
  • Senior, Level 4: $121,550 - $164,450

Schedule

This position is for 1st shift.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements; a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required.
