Supplier Quality Specialist

About the Opportunity:The Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of raw materials within a specific category. This role is key to maintaining consistent raw material standards, collaborating with sourcing and manufacturing teams, and managing supplier performance to uphold the organization''s quality and food safety requirements. 3. Responsibilities:• Serve as a technical resource on raw material requirements and supplier constraints.• Stay informed on scientific and regulatory developments affecting ingredients.• Plan and execute supplier audits to maintain quality standards.• Approve raw material specifications and resolve discrepancies.• Support sourcing with quality and safety input during supplier selection and new product development.• Approve supplier documentation and conduct qualification audits.• Monitor supplier safety and quality performance, reporting findings.• Manage supplier corrective action processes.• Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.• Maintain professional relationships with supplier quality and manufacturing staff.• Provide on-site supplier support to ensure compliance during production. 4. Requirements:• Strong technical knowledge of raw materials within assigned category.• Experience with supplier audits and quality assurance processes.• Ability to manage corrective actions and continuous improvement.• Effective communication and relationship-building skills.• Understanding of regulatory and food safety standards. 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Bay area California Compensation: $75,200-$112,800• Other locations will be subject to a lower range. 6.
