Supplier Quality Engineer II
Position Summary
The Supplier Quality Engineer II is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and improving processes to ensure that the quality of purchased items and supporting documents conforms to defined Parker Lord requirements and customer expectations, while minimizing the Parker Lord appraised costs.
Qualifications
Education- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related discipline
Experience- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the quality or manufacturing field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills And Abilities- Knowledge of industry, government and international quality system standards and their application to an industrial environment; knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls; demonstrated history of effective problem solving in a manufacturing environment; experience in utilizing APQP tools including: Control Plans, FMEA's, PPAP and the ability to effectively communicate advance quality concepts, plans and technical data internally and with external (customer or supplier) personnel at all levels; knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., control charts, capability analysis, etc.) and problem-solving tools (pareto, C&E, RCCA); proficient in the use of personal computers and general-purpose software (Microsoft Office); excellent oral and written communication skills; works well in a team-based environment as a leader, facilitator, or individual contributor.
