Supplier Quality Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Partner with suppliers to ensure components meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and business requirements
• Execute supplier qualification activities, including process audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by driving supplier readiness, process validation, and component approval
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for supplier-related issues, implementing long-term solutions
• Monitor supplier performance using data-driven metrics; drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost
• Present data every 5 weeks during Failure Review Board (FRB)
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and changes for manufacturability and supplier impact
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain
• Participate in Commodity teams to express quality focus
• Support incoming inspection processes and develop appropriate inspection/test strategies
• Maintain technical documentation including FAI reports, and process control plans

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or similar discipline
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, stamping, die casting, PCB Manufacturing, CCA, or electro-mechanical assembly
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems (as applicable)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and supplier relationship management abilities
• Ability to periodically travel domestically as needed
