Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is crucial to maintaining the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes and products.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality engineering protocols and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Work closely with suppliers to improve product quality and ensure compliance with our quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions with suppliers to address quality issues.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to resolve supplier-related problems and ensure timely resolution.
- Review and approve supplier first article inspections, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams, ensuring understanding and compliance with quality requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and quality standards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO9001 quality management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supplier quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and experience with its implementation and maintenance.
- Experience with welding processes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management systems.
- Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar is a plus.
