JOB SUMMARY

The Supplier Field Engineer partners with the Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) to improve and sustain supplier quality and delivery performance, ensuring alignment with cabin-level targets across assigned suppliers and program scope.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

  • Drive supplier corrective action plans with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve systemic quality, production readiness, and audit-related issues, ensuring sustainable results.
  • Lead supplier performance recovery by managing action plan execution, follow-up, and on-site engagement until acceptable performance is achieved.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of improvement actions across all supply chain stakeholders.
  • Validate and enforce implementation of corrective actions (check and act) to confirm effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Lead escalation activities and participate in supplier risk analysis in coordination with the SPM team.
  • Support cross-functional crisis management efforts addressing chronic shortages, quality rejections, and other critical supply or quality disruptions.
  • Support supply chain and operations teams on escalations, recovery plans, and critical issue resolution.
  • Provide on-site supplier support to implement SPM/SQE-driven action plans for recurring performance deviations.
  • Aid in recovery plan execution, including line-of-balance management of shortages across multiple sites.
  • Support supplier performance improvement through regular site visits and close supplier engagement.
  • Support containment, scope definition, and resolution of major quality issues in collaboration with SPM/SQE.
  • Cook up and participate in workshops to resolve conflicts, drive alignment, and implement operational improvements internally and at supplier sites.
  • Support supplier assessments, performance monitoring, and escalation processes in coordination with Supplier Performance and Quality teams.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to company policies.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Protect the confidentiality of the companys information and products.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, or a related industry preferred.
  • Skills: Intermediate project management skills, advanced technical understanding of manufacturing processes, advanced knowledge of supply chain principles and tools, intermediate knowledge of quality and lean tools, strong written and verbal communication skills, basic knowledge of ERP systems, strong self-motivation and planning skills, strong customer focus, ability to lead through influence and effectively manage conflict.
  • Preferred Skills/Experience: Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 annually
