Supplier Development Manager
About the role
The Supplier Development Manager will play a crucial role in securing aircraft deliveries on-time and with perfect quality. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with quality management standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of parts and components
- Manage supplier performance through regular audits and assessments
- Implement and enforce quality management practices, including APQP and Six Sigma
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues and improve product quality
- Lead special projects aimed at enhancing supplier capabilities and improving overall supply chain efficiency
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Program Management
- Demonstrated experience in supplier recovery and crisis management
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Six Sigma
- Strong problem-solving and practical project management skills
- Ability to travel up to 80% domestically, with occasional international travel
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies
- Experience with transfers of work between production sites and/or to other countries

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
$145,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This position is mission-based and involves frequent travel to suppliers and their sub-tier companies. Travel frequency varies from short-term assessments to long-term problem-solving missions.
