About the role

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It involves Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Engage strategically with suppliers who do not meet Blue Origin's key performance metrics, ensuring they adhere to cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Procurement, Program IPT, Supply Chain Program Managers, and Supplier Quality teams to identify root causes of non-performance and develop recovery plans.
  • Drive continuous performance improvements within the supply chain, enhancing supplier capabilities and supporting Blue Origin's production goals.
  • Contribute to the history of space exploration by improving safe and repeatable spaceflight practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering field
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering, supply chain, or quality role
  • Experience in product development teams to define, scope, and prioritize design requirements
  • Experience in hardware development and manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
  • Experience in technical management of suppliers
  • Experience in implementing DFx principles in an outsourced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical problems to non-subject matter experts
  • Experience with fault tree analysis and value stream or process flow mapping
  • Ability to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and task ownership, willingness to perform low-level tasks
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or asylee
  • Master’s degree in engineering or business preferred
  • Led planning and technical aspects of product builds through the full product life cycle
  • Experience with capacity modeling, process mapping, and fault analysis
  • Experience with packaging design, manufacturing, and qualification
  • Experience in tooling bring-up, machining processes, secondary finish processes, and qualification
  • Experience with Pareto analysis, root cause, and corrective actions
  • Managed planning and technical aspects of product builds through the full product life cycle

Pay

$112,559.00 - $156,882.60 for WA applicants

Schedule

Long hours and weekends may be required to meet critical deadlines.
