SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY-Head Coach Cross Country-G

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing high school sports teams in the West Broward High district.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide guidance and support to athletes, including performance feedback and behavior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Leadership experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and supplies. Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
