SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- FOOTBALL (ASSISTANT COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams in accordance with state regulations and school policies.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide guidance and support to athletes to improve their performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance team performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies; vision to read documents and computer screens; hearing to communicate effectively.

• Temporary/Subs work calendar.
• Nonexempt classification.
• New Hire Teacher Salary and Classroom Monitor Hourly Rate information available upon request.

SKILLS

Effective communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time efficiently.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education for the Head Coach.
