About the role
This position involves implementing reverse logistics solutions, advising and guiding agencies on disposal policies, collaborating with customers, evaluating and recommending actions, and preparing or demonstrating disposal methods.Responsibilities
- Implements reverse logistics solutions to manage the efficient and cost-effective flow of spare materials, in-process inventory, and related information.
- Guides agencies and holding activities on the interpretation and use of disposal policies.
- Collaborates with customers to determine short and long-term requirements and continuously refine specific customer needs.
- Evaluates and recommends actions to address unique constraints, concerns, or desires of various Military Commands or customers.
- Prepares or demonstrates capabilities of newly automated disposal methods, operational processes, and techniques.
Requirements
- Tour of Duty: 1st Shift
- Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access
- Appointment subject to a favorable suitability or fitness determination and completion of a Supervisory Certification Program.
- Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt
- Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

Qualifications
- To qualify for a Supervisory Property Disposal Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must demonstrate:
- One year of specialized experience that equips you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly related to this position. For the GS-12 level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
- Specialized experience includes collaborating and communicating with all federal partners to synchronize excess property turn-in procedures, managing, projecting, and requesting funding for travel itineraries, monitoring supplies, equipment, and services delivered to supported customers, analyzing feedback and metrics to validate support goals, and proactively implementing process improvements.
Education
- Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
