About the role

Serves as an assistant to the Park or Natural Resource Manager at one or more lake or river Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and implementation of park management plans and policies.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of park facilities and resources.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Manages visitor services and provides educational programs related to natural resource management.
  • Prepares reports and maintains records on park activities and resource conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal Service, which includes experience assisting in the development and implementation of park management plans and policies, overseeing day-to-day operations of park facilities and resources, coordinating with other departments, managing visitor services, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a park or natural resource management setting.
  • Knowledge of federal park management policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $45,000 per year.
