About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (GG-0346-13) to lead logistics programs at the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Logistics Branch, JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
- Directs complex logistics programs, manages diverse teams, and ensures mission readiness through efficient movement, storage, accountability, and distribution of personnel, equipment, and materiel.
- Develops and implements logistics policies, manages organizational resources, improves operational efficiencies, and ensures compliance with applicable federal regulations, DoD directives, and transportation policies.
- Buils collaborative partnerships, leads organizational change, mentors employees, and makes sound decisions in dynamic, high-tempo environments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of desired experience in Department of Defense (DoD) logistics operations, supply chain management, warehouse operations, transportation management, and cargo distribution.
- Exceptional leadership skills in directing complex logistics programs, managing diverse teams, and ensuring mission readiness.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing logistics policies, managing organizational resources, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations, DoD directives, and transportation policies.
Qualifications
- US citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) within 24 months of accepting this position.
