Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Team Chief and Senior Intelligence Analyst for the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber).
• Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats by country and group to rapidly respond to their activities.
• Coordinate efforts across the Cyberspace Operation (CO) spectrum with the Joint community and other agencies within the Department of Defense.
• Demonstrate full understanding of the United States SIGINT System (USSS), United States Signals Intelligence Directives (USSIDs), Intelligence Oversight, and all facets of Information Operations, focusing on Cyberspace Operations (CO).
• Utilize experience with the National SIGINT Requirements Process and understand national-level systems capabilities and limitations.
• Apply broad knowledge of global telecommunications technologies and methodologies, computer networks, security, hardware, and operating systems.
• Supervise assigned military and civilian personnel; provide technical guidance to assigned contractor personnel performing intelligence, IO, and Cyberspace Operations (CO) support functions.
• Identify professional development and training needs for self and subordinates.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85.
• Must undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
• Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• This position is considered Key and Mission Essential; the incumbent must remain on duty or report to duty during emergency and/or crisis situations.
• Failure to perform the duties of this position may result in separation for the efficiency of the Federal service.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is required, defined as progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, private sector experience, or experience in another government agency at a level equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

To qualify, you must have one year of specialized experience that includes:

• Providing situational awareness and actionable intelligence regarding cyber threats impacting assigned target areas and systems.
• Performing Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) analytic efforts throughout the entire SIGINT production process.
• Providing technical guidance to fellow intelligence personnel or contractor personnel on performing a variety of Cyberspace Operations (CO) support functions.

This experience should demonstrate:

• Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle, and organizations.
• Ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics, and maps.
• Knowledge of systems, procedures, and methods for analyzing, compiling, reporting, and disseminating intelligence data.
• Knowledge of organizations and methods for collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

No substitution of education for experience is permitted for this position.
