About the role
This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, SECRETARY OF WAR COMMUNICATIONS.
Responsibilities
- Helps provide advice and counsel for all issues pertaining to planning, evaluating, managing, and executing of the Architecture and Engineering branch, including the people, and infrastructure used by various SECWAR customers.
- Supervises, coordinates, and prioritizes the work of a cross-functional team consisting of civilians, military, and contractors and responsible for day-to-day technical support to SECWAR and immediate office.
- Conducts regular meetings, audits, steering boards, configuration management processes, design reviews, and attends conferences to maintain understanding of emerging technologies that are needed to address SECWAR's current and future mission needs.
- Develops, executes, and monitors funding requirements for systems supporting the Engineering Branch operations at local and remote sites.
- Serves as a DoW Subject-Matter Expert (SME) on all communications equipment and command and control systems used to support the SecWar, DepSecWar and their Immediate Offices.
Qualifications
- Conditions of employment: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, and pass Foundational and Residential Qualifications.
- Education: Professional engineering degree or combination of education and experience.
- Specialized experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-14 if outside the Federal service.
- Additional requirements: Must have Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
