Supervisory Auditor (Assistant Field Director)
About the role
This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade, Trade Regulatory Audit (TRA), located in Fort Mitchell, KY. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Responsibilities
- Managing the development of a branch office audit plan that is designed and modified based on risk areas identified by the agency or headquarters office.
- Establishing the priorities of the branch office and sets expectations for the completion of work assigned to subordinate staff.
- Ensuring subordinate staff properly develop and execute audit methodologies that addressed civil and criminal negligence and fraud using data analytics and various sampling techniques.
- Developing and guiding subordinate staff to be responsive to diverse stakeholders and identify when to intervene and resolve difficult or contentious issues while maintaining good working relationships.
- Managing the development of high-level briefing papers and comprehensive audit reports that involve legal and regulatory interpretation.

Benefits
The GS salary range for this position is $131,090.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $170,317.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area.
