Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily, consistent guidance and direction to assigned Security Guards.
- Deliver daily briefings, address policy or post-order violations, and correct substandard performance immediately.
- Maintain a highly visible roving security presence, conducting scheduled and unscheduled facility checks across rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces.
- Review and compile Daily Logs and Security Incident Reports for completeness and readability.
- Draft detailed supervisory incident reports by the end of each shift.
- Assist during emergencies, special events, crowd control, and safety/life incidents.
- Immediately notify law enforcement and the WSD Security Management Unit (SMU) of illegal or unauthorized activity.
- Cookordination and provide shift relief or breaks for dedicated on-site guard posts as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of verified experience as a Security Guard, Police Officer, or Military Police (MP) officer.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a valid, current Arizona DPS Guard Card.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Fluent in English, bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Physically fit and capable of standing/walking for extended periods, climbing stairs/ladders, working outdoors in diverse weather elements, and lifting/moving up to 30 lbs.
- Must clear a Maximum Risk background screening (no felony convictions) and obtain a City of Phoenix security badge.
