About the role
The team of engineering maintenance and reliability is a key element of Amazon's commitment to innovation. This team ensures that the tools and technologies we use evolve and adapt at the same pace as Amazon. As a senior engineering technician, you will help us stay ahead, adopting the latest technologies and identifying new and more efficient ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Apply best practices in the safe use of equipment.
- Work closely with technical staff on shift to support their development and serve as the first point of contact.
- Solve equipment issues to reduce downtime, ensuring packages can be processed as quickly as possible.
- Help find ways to continuously improve systems and homogenize processes across the entire EU network.
- Utilize tools like SCADA to monitor processes to ensure their performance, while collaborating closely with your direct supervisor on administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Diploma in secondary education.
- Vast experience in a managerial role within the technical field.
- Vast experience in electrical and mechanical fields.
- Vast experience in automation or contexts requiring the use of machinery for material movement.
- Advanced knowledge of the Italian language, both spoken and written, and basic English knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in work environments involving multiple external execution enterprises located at different sites.
- Understanding of PLC-based control systems and compliance requirements with regulatory provisions.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems for proactive maintenance planning and recording reactive maintenance interventions.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as operational activities or corporate administration.
