Responsibilities
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, compensation recommendations, and performance management
- Oversee broad operational areas, including testing, scheduling, inventory management, services, communication, and overall coordination of lab, services, and field operations
- Provide research, feedback, and decisions to address management and employee questions; assist in receiving customer feedback and coordinating responses
- Ensure accuracy of testing, operational databases, reports, and documentation through audits, reviews, and operational queries
- Review and process tests, documents, and data
- Provide guidance on lab and operational policies
- Analyze trends and present insights and recommendations to management
- Participate in department and cross-functional initiatives, including budgets, timelines, staffing, materials, and project requirements
- Interpret and apply department policies and procedures and assist with compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions that foster a positive and effective workplace
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field
- Five (5) years of laboratory, services, field, or testing experience, including work with complex programs or operations
- Two (2) years of team leadership experience is strongly preferred
