Supervisor, Warehouse - 2nd shift - 4pm-230am
About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees a variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and associated records. They manage people and processes, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas
- Filling and shipping customer orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation
- Receiving goods/items from production, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods
- Maintaining inventory transactions and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of department activities
- Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks
- Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands
- Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations
- Improving warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices
- Coordinating activities of individual departments and serving internal customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 3+ years of warehouse experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience with lean methodologies
- Forklift certification
- APICS/CPIM certification (optional)
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing Environment
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
- Requires vision abilities to validate and enter data on computer
