About the role
As a Supervisor in the Vital Link Donation Center, you will lead a team of skilled clinical support coordinators to support the mission of donation and transplantation with efficiency and collaboration in mind.
Responsibilities
- Assists with training new team members and onboarding staff.
- Represents the department in meetings and collaborates with peer depts and external business partners.
- Coaches the team for continued operational success.
- Refines department processes and innovates for growth.
- Provides shift coverage as needed as well as daily monitoring of the team to assist with high volume peaks and staff needs.
- Fosters an environment of support and demonstrates strong leadership skills and professionalism.
- Provides shift and case oversight to ensure seamless transitions and expedited processes of VLDC staff from shift to shift, referral to referral and/or case to case with solid knowledge of all current and pending activity for organ and tissue.
- Performs all aspects of the Clinical Support Coordinator role, as needed, to ensure an exceptional level of service is provided.
- Reviews and guides Clinical Support Coordinator documentation and assists in quality assurance audits.
- Provides exceptional customer service to Indiana Donor Network staff, donor hospitals, tissue processors and other essential entities involved with the donation process.
- Maintains continued education requirements and participates in departmental quality improvement projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a health-related field.
- Prior supervisory/management experience in a health-related field and/or a minimum of 1 year of successful employment within Indiana Donor Network.

- Ability to create and give effective educational presentations.
- Skill in training others including creating an environment that promotes learning and explaining technical concepts/terms.
- Ability to serve 24-hour on-call shifts.
