Shift Supervisor

About the role

The Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in residential services. They oversee and coordinate the daily operations and direct care staff to deliver quality residential services.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Supervision: Responsible for overseeing youth care workers, assigning duties, delegating responsibilities, and monitoring performance.
• Workforce Development: Motivate, supervise, and develop the team to support service integration and program improvement initiatives.
• Direct Care and Child Advocacy: Review placement requests, complete intake and program orientation, assign bed movements, ensure compliance with licensing regulations, assist with OTC & prescribed medication, document child's progress, conduct intake and property inventory, provide essential needs, teach, coach, and supervise children, assist with appointments, ensure child rights are upheld, and manage the grievance procedure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• A minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
• Cleared tuberculosis test results.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations.
• Cleared background checks from appropriate entities, including Child Abuse and Neglect and FBI criminal background.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive to facilitate program services as required.

• Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with peers, colleagues, and others to achieve mission goals and objectives.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Google Drive).
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying specific federal agency's P&P.

Pay

The Pay Range For This Role Is 53,388.98 - 53,388.98 USD per year.
