Qualifications

• Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
• High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to use personal computer

Skills

• Ability to effectively direct, manage and lead personnel
• Ability to read, understand and interpret documents including District policies, department guidelines and procedures, and local, state, and federal laws
• Ability to professionally communicate in both verbal and written formats
• Demonstrated excellence in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to pass alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam
• Must maintain bus driver certification
• Ability to safely operate a school bus
• Proven effective organizational, communication, and analysis skills required
• Two (2) years’ experience as a school bus driver
• Two (2) years’ supervisory experience preferred
• One (1) year transportation routing experience in a public school setting preferred
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language
