About the role
Covenant Living at Windsor Park is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) within the not-for-profit Covenant Living organization. We are seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join our Transportation team in Carol Stream, IL.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the shuttle and bus drivers and is responsible for planning their schedules, handling performance issues and reviews, and their training and development.
- Coordinates the daily shuttle and buses that provides transportation to and from campus for employees and residents.
- Transports residents and staff, assists residents in and out of the vehicle and to the point of destination, and renders emergency assistance if required.
- Coordinates with the FM Department the weekly checks of vehicles to ensure all mechanical functions and safety aspects of the vehicles are operational and safe.
- Performs safety inspections on all vehicles prior to use and reports any problems, and maintains cleanliness of vehicles.
- Collaborates with Human Resources in the hiring and qualification of staff, and ensures that DOT regulations are complied with, if applicable.
- Monitors and complies with all vehicle inspection schedules, maintenance and warranty schedules, and adheres to all policies and procedures pertaining to campus transportation.
- Reports vehicle damage and accidents immediately, and coordinates with FM department on preventive maintenance and unscheduled vehicle repairs needed.
- Maintains mileage and service schedule records, and performs various errands and other duties as assigned by FM Director.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- CDL license, if applicable for certain vehicles that fall under DOT regulations
- Previous experience leading a team or being a lead driver, and related driving experience and routine vehicle maintenance experience required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.81 - $29.33 per hour. The actual offered rate of pay will be determined based on job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
