Supervisor, Transportation

About the role

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining a smooth operation of the Transportation Department & helps provide 24-hr coverage. Provides general supervision of all transportation drivers and administrative staff. Primary responsibility is to make sure that all Teammates are on the job at the start of the shift or at the scheduled dispatch time.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers via a thorough working knowledge of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.
• Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.
• Cookordination activities with other distribution center departments to ensure that accurate and timely deliveries occur.
• This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum two years of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.
• Experience coaching drivers, problem solving & removing obstacles.
• Be knowledgeable about DOT regulations.
• Truck routing software experience preferred.
• Be able to work a varied and flexible schedule.
• Have basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

3rd Shift, Mon KPI Day, Tues & Wed 8pm - 6am, Thurs & Fri 6pm - 6am
