About the role
The Supervisor, TPA/Spending Accounts (TPA Ops Team Lead) leads the day-to-day operations for their designated team, providing feedback on staff performance, addressing client issues, and driving departmental improvements. This role ensures critical client needs are met, resolves escalated issues, and provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
This is a 100% in-office role based at our Rochester, NY location. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.
Responsibilities
- Oversee customer support channels, including phone and email support teams.
- Monitor calls and emails for quality assurance and coach team members toward service KPIs.
- Provide training and assist with coaching and development of new and existing team members.
- Handle escalated issues from customers or internal teams in a collaborative “win-win” approach.
- Facilitate business or team update communications through meetings, 1:1s, or team huddles.
- Provide input and recommendations to managers on performance management, promotional opportunities, and employee status changes.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve team or individual performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in key areas of the department.
- Create and update processes and internal training documentation as necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a benefits support role.
- Experience with tax-advantaged plans (FSA, HSA, HRA, Commuter) preferred.
- 2+ years of leadership experience, including leading and supporting a team.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience with ownership and accountability in group responsibilities.
- Previous benefits experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with Payroll systems is strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory/mentoring experience preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $61,500 - $85,100 per year, with base pay varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance.
