Supervisor - Terminal Ops
About the role
Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for the maintenance, safety, and environmental matters related to the receipt and storage of customer products through multiple transportation methods.
- Supervise employees including fair and consistent assignment of tasks.
- Assume responsibility for the training and development of department employees.
- Perform daily physical inspections and prepare status reports on equipment and operations.
- Operate equipment used in daily operations and prepare laboratory analysis.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports, material, and service requisitions.
- Evaluate subordinates’ daily activities for performance evaluation.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and annual reports are delivered to management, interdepartmental groups, and customers according to regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reduce potential risk to public safety and environment and minimize company liability through efficient product movement.
- Improve operations efficiency and financial profitability through well-maintained processes.
Requirements
- 8 years experience in product movement and/or operations and a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Safety and hazard training as well as spill response training for pipeline and marine preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience with customers.
- PC skills with extensive Word and Excel ability.
- Certification or formal training in mechanics preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy.
- Ability to manage time to meet appropriate deadlines and schedules.
- Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities.
- Ability to take directions from supervisors.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation requirements.
Pay
The current pay range for this position is $95,000 – $135,000. The listed pay range represents the company’s good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay at the time of this posting. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.
