The role requires a strong working knowledge of telecommunications construction, supervisory experience, familiarity with construction equipment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead crews to complete installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety
  • Supervise day-to-day activities, progress, and compliance with deliverables
  • Coordinate with manager to invoice jobs in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and project-specific requirements
  • Investigate accidents, including job damage, employee injuries, and vehicle accidents
  • Maintain professional communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers
  • Identify and mitigate issues and risks, assisting in developing response plans
  • Enforce company safety policies
  • Staff, train, and performance-manage employees with HR support
  • Manage equipment repair, maintenance, and rental with Fleet department support
  • Interface with customers to discuss needs and goals

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a background check and company drug screening
  • Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record

Qualifications

  • Experience working in telecommunications or utility construction
  • Proven leadership experience guiding employees to high-quality results and teamwork
  • Any combination of education and/or experience demonstrating ability to perform job duties

Skills

  • Ability to interpret instructions and resolve problems with multiple variables
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures
  • Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and vendors
