Job Description Responsible for all camera surveillance within the property to include gaming and non-gaming areas and supervise Surveillance staff. Responsibilities Supervise and direct the operations of the surveillance department in the absence of the Director of Surveillance Ensure that proper notifications and advisements are made when non-specific situations and/or conditions are met by the operation of the roomMake well thought out decisions regarding the operation of the surveillance room and activities that occur in or involve the surveillance departmentProvide guidance as well as structure and discipline for surveillance observers that are working in the department, regardless of shiftObserve and report on all areas under surveillance to ensure compliance with Title 31 regulations, gaming control board regulations and in-house policies and proceduresVideo and observe the various casino games, count rooms, food and beverage areas, retail areas and casino cageWrite investigative reportsCommunicate with various other departments and reporting what was observedMaintain video coverage equipmentExemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and visionExemplify our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culturePerform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge of the various casino games and the ability to identify advantage play and/or cheating techniques being applied to themBasic supervisory skills regarding interactions with employeesKnowledge of the departmental standards, goals and mission of the surveillance departmentUnderstand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and proceduresAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and materialsAbility to read, write and communicate verbally in EnglishAbility to use good judgment and decision-making skills regarding irregular or suspicious activitiesKnowledgeable in all aspects of gaming operations and regulations (casino, cage and slot operations, casino games) and ability to identify methods of cheatingMust have basic knowledge of video equipmentAbility to interface with all departments under surveillance, outside law enforcement agencies and surveillance information networksAbility to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage mathAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationExcellent organizational skills requiredSkill in preparing and maintaining records, letter writing, and data entry with computer keyboardAbility to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and proceduresGood working knowledge of computer software to include MS Word, ExcelHigh School diploma Additional Requirements Mobility is requiredMust be able to sit and stand at the console to operate camerasMust have the ability to communicate by telephone and radioMust have the ability to bend over and reach from the floor level to 7 feet in order to perform daily tape changesAble to lift up to ten (10) pounds on a regular basisNormal hearing and vision range are requiredWork in an environment of 8ft. by 8 ft. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
