About the role
The Supervisor for the Sterile Processing Department at Virginia Mason Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes collaborating with Operating Room (OR) leadership and other departments to ensure that instrumentation and sterilization needs are met. The supervisor maintains accurate instrument checklists and process documentation, serves as a resource for all sterilization needs, and ensures compliance with manufacturers' Instructions for Use (IFUs).
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD) upon hire
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech (CSPDT) upon hire
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor (CSPDS) upon hire
- Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) upon hire
- 3 years full-time experience in sterile processing department in an acute medical center, with 1 year at a supervisory level.
Qualifications
- Experience in sterile processing department in an acute medical center.
- Experience in a supervisory role within sterile processing.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Knowledge of sterilization processes and equipment.
- Attention to detail.
