About the role
The Supervisor Sanitation oversees the cleaning and sanitization of the manufacturing facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with FSQ guidelines. This role provides leadership to the Sanitation Team Members and manages staffing and sanitation schedules.
Responsibilities
- Safety: Ensures all Team Members comply with OSHA and company safety standards; enforces safety rules and policies. Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area. Reports and investigates incidents and deficiencies. Monitors work environment for food safety hazards.
- Leadership: Directs and leads a team of Sanitation Specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Manages staffing requirements, interviews and hires new Team Members. Builds and supports a culture that values safety and food safety. Demonstrates professionalism, encourages positive attitudes and behaviors, and develops Team Members.
- General: Validates production paperwork, modifies SSOPs, supervises cleaning, analyzes and resolves problems, inspects facilities, performs pre-operational swab testing, coordinates work schedules, maintains records, and follows Lean Manufacturing processes.
- Communication: Communicates with peers, subordinates, and leaders, keeps management informed, and suggests improvements.
- Personnel: Follows good manufacturing practices and HACCP training, implements and monitors training, appraises work performance, and provides interpretation of company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 3+ years of manufacturing experience, 2+ years of supervisory experience in the food industry, with chemical/sanitation experience preferred
- Skills: Proven understanding of business documents, ability to work under pressure, excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, problem-solving, and motivational skills, proficiency in technology tools.
Benefits
Pay range: $52,965 - $72,827 (Annual). Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) participation, paid holidays, and paid time off.
