Supervisor RN, Registered Nurse - Cardio Cath

Accountable for supervising the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. Assists the Director in analyzing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating processes and programs that enhance, strengthen, and integrate nursing department services. Participates in developing and implementing service line strategic business plans and fosters an environment supporting continuous improvement of operational, financial, and clinical components. Provides effective supervision of nursing activities in assigned areas and manages financial and human resources to meet quality and productivity standards. Offers feedback and support regarding customer satisfaction, staff development, and associate performance and satisfaction.

Responsible for the daily operations of a nursing department on a 24-hour basis. Collaborates with clinical and ancillary departments to meet organizational and department-specific Quality and Safety Measures, Community Values, Business Literacy, and Service Excellence goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensures consistent application of nursing services policies and standards throughout the organization.

• Oversees the performance of teams; identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
• Previous Lead or Supervisor experience overseeing work of assigned units preferred.
• Previous healthcare management experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.

This position is specific to the Cardiology Cath department.

Credential Grace Periods

If additional credentials are required, a grace period to obtain the certification will apply, dependent on experience level.

Experienced Associate

Any Candidate/Associate with at least one year of acute care clinical experience in a similar service line within the past three years.

Experienced Associate New to the Specialty

Any Candidate/Associate who does not have at least one year of full-time acute care clinical experience in the same service line within the past three years.
