About the role

Are you a collaborative nurse leader who is passionate about developing teams, improving patient care, and supporting clinical excellence? Join the MaineHealth Medical Group Primary Care practices affiliated with Mid Coast Hospital as a full-time, 40-hour day shift RN Clinical Supervisor and play a key leadership role in supporting exceptional patient-centered care across our growing network of primary care practices. As the RN Clinical Supervisor, you'll partner with providers, practice managers, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure outstanding clinical operations while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. You'll provide day-to-day clinical leadership, mentor and support nursing staff, oversee clinical workflows, promote quality and patient safety initiatives, and help ensure patients receive exceptional care at every visit. This role offers the opportunity to blend hands-on clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities in a dynamic ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership, mentor and support nursing staff, oversee clinical workflows, promote quality and patient safety initiatives, and help ensure patients receive exceptional care at every visit.
  • Coach and develop nursing staff, support onboarding and ongoing education, assist with quality improvement initiatives, optimize clinical workflows, and help maintain compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practice.
  • Your leadership will directly contribute to creating an engaged team culture focused on excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • As a full-time, salaried, exempt leader, you'll enjoy the autonomy to lead clinical operations, support multiple primary care teams, and drive meaningful improvements that enhance both the patient and caregiver experience.
  • This position is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys balancing direct clinical support with leadership, mentoring, operational oversight, problem-solving, and strategic collaboration in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Qualifications

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure to practice in Maine. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Two years of RN experience required. Experience in area of specialty may be required. Supervisory experience preferred.

  • For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $89,980.80 to $121,721.60 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE). In addition to base pay, MaineHealth offers comprehensive benefits, recognition programs, career growth opportunities, and, where applicable, shift differentials or other incentives.
