Supervisor RN - Post Surgery PACU

About the Role

The RN Supervisor oversees the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective nursing care, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. They assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance clinical, operational, and financial components within the nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily nursing activities across assigned areas, ensuring patient safety and care quality.
• Monitor patient outcomes and nursing effectiveness.
• Oversee staff performance, training, and development needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet quality, safety, and service goals.
• Participate in strategic planning and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical patient care experience; prior supervisory or healthcare management experience preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required for specific department roles.
• Experience in perioperative or OR settings is advantageous.
• Attend onboarding and competency validation programs.
• Maintain ongoing certifications and complete annual competency requirements.
• Ability to work in a 24-hour operational environment, managing a team for optimal patient care.
