About the role

This position supervises analysts responsible for supporting process improvements, metric/report development, special projects, and provide detailed revenue valuation analysis to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Analyst teammates, responsible for providing and recommending solutions to optimize data management and improve accounting related processes.
  • Become proficient in the revenue cycle and understand data relationships in related systems and processes in order to identify and enact opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify and interpret revenue trends.
  • Prepare, develop, and review recurring and ad-hoc financial schedules and communications such as memos, charts, graphs, process documentation and presentations in response to complex inquiries.
  • Apply reasoning and creative thinking to turn abstract concepts into decision making tools, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Accountable for general ledger functions such as preparing and reviewing journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare audit responses.
  • Primary responsibility for managing all teammate employment activity such as hiring, writing and conducting teammate annual Performance Development Reviews (PDRs).
  • Address teammate issues and escalate to Management/People Services as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing training, development, coaching, performance management, and opportunities for growth.
  • Determine staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all teammates.
  • Work with leadership to establish, communicate, and ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Meet tight deadlines in a time sensitive and resource constrained environment.
  • Attend meetings, phone conferences, and trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required from accredited university with an emphasis in Business, Project Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, MIS, or Health Admin.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), SQL, Cognos, or other analytical applications and be willing to learn new internal systems and tools.
  • Working knowledge of accounting functions.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra calculations, probability and statistical inference and apply to practical situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common business communications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to probe, question, and listen attentively and to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Strong data analysis experience with proven ability to manipulate large volumes of data and to work effectively at both detail and big-picture levels.
  • Demonstrated project management and/or consultative skills when addressing complex inquiries from teammates, customers, and business partners.
  • Critical thinker with demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis, draw conclusions, solve problems, prepare and implement action plans, and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to influence peers and build strong relationships across departments/teams and can demonstrate poise and assertiveness in holding peers accountable.
