About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Intensive Care Unit Supervisor position in Harlingen, Texas, supervising and coordinating nursing activities in one or more patient care units, ensuring patient needs are met, evaluating unit nursing care and performance, planning work, coordinating with other units and departments, and organizing training and educational programs for staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel in one or more patient care units.
• Verify that patients' needs are met and evaluate unit nursing care and performance.
• Participate in planning work of assigned units and coordinate activities with other patient care units and related departments.
• Plan and organize training for unit staff members.
• Participate in guidance and educational programs.

Requirements

• Education: Academic degree in nursing; preferred Bachelor's or master's degree.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience; preferred 2 years of nursing supervisor experience.
• Certifications: Current license, certification, or registration to practice as required by law/regulation/state policy; AHA BLS required; AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP as applicable per corporate policy for unit of hire.
